well i got a few things done. printed and mailed a deed. took out trash. took a pile of monitors for recycling. made a couple referrals for people starting corporations. bank.
still have a cold. it's still hot. a tennis player had to quit the local tournament - 120 on the court.

what with being a donor now, more people are noticing my comics, and wondering why they aren't funny.
i got enough done today that i can hit the club tonight.
it's more of a diary/laundry list/narrative epic

long ago in a galaxy far far away, way past the statute of limitations...a work of fiction. any resemblance to any living americans, bigger than a breadbox, is coincidental
so this contest can be autobiographical, a morality play, or um some third thing.
you do know the entries were due in february right?
february? i got stoned and i missed it.
so i was at this party saturday. the hip trendy thing this week is absinthe. luckily it was diluted with tea... opium tea.
so i chased it with some tequila
this probably makes me sound like a hard partier. i only go out most mondays, and most saturdays i don't drink, at most one.
hey! now i remember where i put the rest of the tequila.
today is monday. i have a routine for mondays. no more than 3 g&t, no more than $20. i have a dollar left, counting the one i found on the sidewalk, that had a knot tied in it.

still to do today: dishes - done, buy stamps - done, maybe tow roommate's car from mcdonald's parking lot, where it's still sitting. - done.
did: made lawyer appointment, went downtown, person i'm stal... investigating... doesn't have a voter registration in this county so i'll have to try other methods.
sorted some mail. mailed a letter. had the grass cut.
need to make a better to do list.. i've lost track of what all. need to prioritize my crises.
it's cooled down to about 90 in here. rained a bit earlier. maybe tonight would be a good time for my semiannual visit to irish music night at local pub. - didn't.

finally it's raining. and that might be hail. been waiting 3 days for this storm to get here and cool things off a bit.
i got stuff done for the second day in row, so i headed out to kareoke night at metro. meaningful eye contact with the dj, who i've have a crush on for 8 years.
ran into my old friend mike and hung out awhile. bought a round of drinks for some hot chick, lisa. as always, i did not sing - tone deaf.
went out shopping. got hit on by a lady of the evening on rt 40 - no thanks.
4:20 am, guess it's time to sleep a bit.
went to walmart and stocked up on soda and drink mix, came home.
bbc radio was telling gruesome stories about random foreigners sold down the river to guantanamo.

roommates are being useful for once, cleaning and mopping.
did: met w lawyer. picked up paperwork from secretary of state. consulted on a liquor license application. made another futile try at tracking down ms. reedy. got a key made to replace one i lost.
went to bank, sorted the groceries, made dinner. made a list, checked it twice. caught up most emails.

there's a story here about conservative comic strips.
al cap's "students wildly indignant about nearly everything" (swine) might have some potential.
unfortunely, having the germ of an idea for a strip, and having a finished three panel strip with a setup and punchline, aren't the same thing at all.
so this is a placeholder for now. anyway, read the article.

my car radio was tuned to some small town college station playing 80's stuff, and now,
although i've been having a productive week, i'm also fighting a cold, in what's been a killer heat wave.
it's past the dripping nose stage into the hacking cough stage. i have a lot of manual labor and a deadline ahead, hope I don't crash and burn.
i can't get it out of my head, boy this song is all i think about, la la la, la la la la .... (repeat 400 times)
regular readers - 7 of you so far - will have noted a trend, toward a random panel in the middle of the standard template.
lots of fluids and rest. today has been the golden mean of, drive around getting stuff done, and hanging out online for hours.
it's 1:30. i thought i was going to go to bed early tonight. well, ok, for me this is early, but still.
ok, i'm gonna crack open one of those 50 cent walmart ginger ale two liters. woohoo! party time.

i havent gotten around to making this comic yet. maybe after i check my email and slashdot again.
my excuse is that i'm resting up from my cold. that, or i'm a lazy sod.
see, i had one thing to do today, and the place closed at 6. i missed it yesterday. today, signed the papers to rent the storage unit at 5:58.
that leaves a couple days to actually move the stuff.

update: after riding my bike downtown, it turned out to be drag night at the club. not my scene.
I feel like I didn't get much done today. Did the laundry. Mailed a commission check. Cleaned the bathroom some. Read most recent filing by the attorney general in one of my cases.
Returned a library book that was a year and half overdo. Do-over; I meant overdue.
so i drank my $5 worth and more, stopped in at kareoke night, came home early.
Collected rent. Checked the mail. Made a list. Stomped on a bunch of roaches. Took out the trash. Made some webcomix.
Didn't wash the dishes. Didn't clean the fridge. Did watch malcolm in the middle.
on the way home i saw a possum
The female roommate is gone again. The male roommate may hook up with the ex of the female roommate's ex. I guess I did enough I can go out to celebrate. Never made it last night, car died.
Wasn't that the plot of wertmuller's 'the seduction of mimi'?

how not to have a hangover in the morning: plenty of fluids, and sleep till noon.
went to the bank. nice to put money in now and then. i'm basicly solvent and debt-free, not counting what the IRS pretends i owe.
nothing major today, but my slashdot karma went from good to excellent, email from a woman i'm sorta flirting with at okcupid, email from my ex, decent talk with my roommate, dannon said hi downtown.
so not a bad day so far. he looked cute walking away in those jeans.

i have some msn chat buddies, and when i log on i say "woof."
before i became an aardvark, i was known online as gt_bear. not that kind of bear - the name comes from a teddy bear, but the guys on #bearcave were always fun.
raised in south philly, i don't know much aafrikans, so i'm not even sure what aardvarks say in greeting, but i'd say it translates pretty well as "woof."
woof is a flexible pronoun, like 'them', 'aloha', or 'stuff'.
it can mean "ok i'll see ya around" or "man that eric is a hottie"

still sick, not as bad as yesterday.
changed phone companies, so i should listen to all those backed up phone messages before they go poof.
didn't write back to my ex, didn't yell at my roommates about the flies, didn't do the dishes, didn't much of anything.
there's something tomorrow, or the 12th? some party i'm forgetting?
did update my blog, read some webcomics. it's dark already so i probably won't get anything else done. didn't use my slashdot moderator points. didn't cure cancer.

it's been a great birthday so far. my mom sent a card and letter. my ex sent email. my lawyer sent a bunch of pictures. Miss Easther Kabah sent a nigerian spam. outinindy sent an automated ecard.
The flu went away enough i was able to have coffee for breakfast for the first time in days. The toothache is taking the day off. My roommates, well the less said the better,
