The passage from Deuteronomy which says "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" is not the original writing.
Originally it read "Thou shalt not suffer a sorcerer in your community", meaning sorcerers were fine as long as they didn't live among you.
And in the original context, sorcerer actualy meant "a caster of evil spells", meaning 'good' spells were okay.
This was changed with the King James Bible, because King James was superstitious and commanded the change be made.
King James believed a witch had cursed him, and used the Bible to exact revenge by altering an entire religion.
Maybe, but I really like burning things. Into the fire you go!
