Oedipus: Complex?

So how did you like Oedipus Rex in Classical Lit.?
Oedipus seemed kind of slow.
How so?
I thought that he should have figured out sooner that he killed his dad and slept with his mom.
Yeah. He is kind of a stupid motherfucker.
