But that's part of what makes them funny. If they weren't written that way, they'd be significantly worse, in my opinion.

Chi, I think your comics are great, and you're obviously a very intelligent guy, so I'm not going to insult you by saying something like "You just don't get them." I guess (like most things) it's all just a matter of personal taste.

Personally, I think 90% of the comics done in this style are utterly terrible. But there are a few, and I think Digger is one of them, who use this style extremely well and make some really funny comics.

Finally, my comment about people "learning" how to read them wasn't directed at those who genuinely gave Digger (and others like him) a shot, but to those who see something like "Waht si he doinh" and pass the comics by without a second look.

KajunFirefly September 9, 2003 1:34 PM	His comics pretty much speak the truth, if they didn't have a comedic style, they wouldn't be as funny. I'm not saying Digger is incapable of making a funny comic WITHOUT using his comedic language, but it works for me so far.

As with a lot of comics on here, you're right, it does come down to taste - I'm glad you like my comics, and it's nice to see a rational response (as opposed to the all-too-common "you think these suck? well, yours suck even more!!" reaction)
