First of all, I don't claim to be amazing.
Second of all, most people that have their names under their favorite comics are whack.
Lastly, I think that the comics are funnier and spanish because I can just see the characters and not read the garbage they are saying.

I think that some Zack comics (for example #2, #3) are not exactly funny but more like a teaching to children about some dangers in our world. These comics remind me of those that our grandparents saw in projected slides of the "Magic Lantern" lightbox. Those comics came from Germany and their name was Strumfelpeter or something like that.

Oops.
Well, you are getting there, as I can see in your more recent strips, and it's important that you have fun while creating them. It's just that many characters provided by Stripcreator are already designed to be funny and we all have read them or stripcreated them in a wide variety of situations, eventually disregarding that those characters are funny just because of their looks. An innocent bystander, exposed to them for the first time, will find them more funny. I am expecting more surprising punchlines, but that's just IMHO. I am in the same quest. As some people here used to say, keep stripping!

Well, the only reason I make these comics is not so everyone can like them. I enjoy reading other people's comics instead of making them. But hey, I'm a newbie! If I get better ideas, I'll be as good as Jes Lawson! Then maybe people will stop saying I suck, just because my comics don't have cuss words. And I thank everyone who complimented me! And I feel sorry for those who don't like them because they're made by a 12 year old!

.... What? We're supposed to use kid gloves? Your comics bite. It doesn't matter if you're 12 or 30 (and we have no real proof what age you are anyhow), so don't tell people they should be ashamed for not laughing at a comic that isn't funny. And people don't laugh at comics for having "cuss words". I rarely (if ever) see a strip by kaufman with cuss words in it, and he's one of the most brilliant strippers here.

How do you reckon?

For all I know you're a 30 year old with bad grammatical skills and a horrible sense of humor.

I don't think you are 30, though. I'm just saying that on the internet there's no "obvious" way to determine someone's age, solely by what they type.

If you say you are 12 years old, for me you are 12 years old. No one could have guessed, though. Never be discouraged by other people's harsh comments; what they are basically saying is that your comic strips have not tickled their funny-bone. Humor is not a science and not everyone is pleased by the same things. In the huge universe of readers, target those you want to please, and make your comics for your chosen people. Little by little, you will learn what they enjoy most.
Read about Charles M. Schulz (author of "Peanuts") and how his work was rejected during his early days. But he was not discouraged, he perfected his art and became one of the best.
By the way, you are not a newbie anymore. Now you are a Junior Comic Technician. Congratulations!

First of all, I am not saying that you should be ashamed for not laughing! As a matter of fact, I hardly ever laugh at people's comics. Second of all, if you want to start a conflict with me, that's fine. But move it to "Fights Go Here" because I made this forum topic so people could read my comics. And what I was saying before about feeling sorry for those who don't like my comics just because I'm 12, I didn't mean you couldn't like them because they're not funny. If you don't like them, tell me something I need to change so you CAN like it okay? Even if your little statement WAS true.
PS I don't expect people to feel sorry for me, or give me a break just because I'm young. If my comics bite, that's your opinion Inflatableman.

Zack, here's how I would have liked them to make them funnier for me, basically playing with the last panel punchlines. It's just IMHO.

09/18/03 Z1 The tooth fairy one. In the last panel you can add "...but I still have a tooth for you under my pillow."

(Notes: In Mexico we don't have a tooth fairy, we have "Ratón Pérez" (a mouse) to take care of fallen teeth. About two of the 09/19/03 ones, I don't have an opinion because we don't know too much about the Dixie Chicks or la fée verte. Same thing about the 09/24/03 one about Klarsh.)

09/19/03 The Info Show 1. In the last panel you can add the mother (an old lady) of the smelly stickman, to show he still lives with her. She can say something like "You are getting too thin. Eat your broccoli."

09/19/03 Z2 The one about fire. As it is, the message is more frightening than funny. I'd add "This is just a comic, so I'll be back."

09/24/03 Z3 The one about smoking. You can combine the first and second panels in one panel, and divide the third panel in two. This would build momentum for the smoking dinosaur.

09/25/03 "Woa. Way powerful!" To the victim's lines I would add "It was just a simple question, man!."

10/08/03 "The You-are-so-ugly show". The last dialogue implies that "Mr. Ugly" came to the show even if he already hated it. Better if he said "No wonder I was hating this show so much", which allows the possibility of him being surprised at the last minute, not really knowing what the show was about.

And about the most recent one, "The Info show: Zacarías". Here the happy face of the kid in the last panel doesn't help. It would be better to use "none" as a character, his dialogue coming from off-screen. Readers would think that he was dragged off the set against his will.

This is one possible way, IMHO.
