Will Stripcreator be ever made into software? The problem is, I don't have a connection at home, so I would LOVE to have creator at home and publish ready strips online when I get to the internet. I don't know how possible it is, not being a developer myself, but I gues after Heromachine has gone software (flash application), I guess such thing would be fairly believable (and, maybe, profitable :)

Now that, I would consider selling out.

And it would make spamming and stuff too easy.

It's *possible*. Would brad do it? I doubt it.

You could cache all the images in your browser, and work offline using stripcreator, taking snapshots of the strips you've done (print screen method or paintshop pro), then when you did come online all you'd need to do was look back over at the images of the strips you'd finished and re-type them into stripcreator (I know its a bit of a faff, but its occasionally handy, especially when youve got half a good idea and cant think what to do with it or if you're working on a series) It wouldnt be too difficult to make software that could store and create strips offline, but then that would take some of the magic out of the site I feel, this is afterall an online community, an offline version (proper) could dilute that somewhat.

I often have punchlines written on my arms or wherever else I can write, that way when I don't forget my ideas and people ask me why I have "wangs" written on me.

I as wekk write punchlines down too, usually on post-its. Who else writes their punchlines down?

I write more than punchlines down. I do stand-up, so I've got pads upon pads of ideas, as well as mini audio tapes in stacks. Matchbook, the principle behind writing your stuff down (AND KEEPING IT) is the same one that makes me outraged that bunner deleted all his comics. You write something down, you fucking keep it. No matter how shitty it might be. Don't think that just because you wrote it down and it's shyte that you may not look upon it years later and it spawns a great new idea.

Bunner deleting his comics, good or bad, funny or shyte, was nothing short of a tragedy.

Yep totally agree. Deleting comics is bad. I accept its a handy function for when you inadvertantly press the submit button early or want to have the Nth numbered comic, but to delete your whole back catalogue seems a tad harsh. Fortunately they aren't actually deleted on this site I believe , simply flagged, so if bunner ever changed his mind it would be possible to resurect them. Its a true shame though because bunner has had some really funny comics. I accept that he may no longer want to participate on this site, but to delete all his work aswell seems a bit of an overkill.

Agreed and agreed. On the other hand, I've done a lot of hasty things in anger (ripping up photos, burning letters) that felt really good at the time but regretted in hindsight. Still, destroying something that you used to love is a great exorcism of inner demons.

Bad comics you've done are like naked baby pictures. It gives something for your mom to show your girlfriends when they come over for the first time. How embarassing, but it was just a phase. Honestly, Stripcreator is about as close as I come to keeping a journal, which is maybe a little sad but very true. I think I might be a tad sentimental right now. Anyway, I'm greatful for the opportunity to do it.

Seems unlikely this'll ever happen. It would be possible to make such a thing, but I don't really see a demand that would be worth the work.

And then on top of that there are the worries about increased comic making rate, etc, etc. I'm already sitting around with a giant MySQL book trying to optimize the fat stupid database as is.

Thanks, Brad.
Nice to hear it from horse's mouth. My hopes are shattered but I fully understand you. Oh, well, I guess getting a cable at home will be the solution I will eventually go for.
Thanx anyway.
