Dennis Hopper's character in Blue Velvet would be a nice addition too. I love that crazy mofo.

I loved Hopper and Walken in that movie where Hopper plays the retired-cop-dad of a boy on the run from Walken and the mob. In order to get Walken to kill him quickly instead of a long draw out torture he piles some racist crap on him and Walken gives him the kiss of death before ventilating his head.

What the hell movie was that?

The 'What the fuck was that?' was directed at the dancing Christopher Walken.

d'ja ever see Walken's SNL appearance where he plays "The Continental" - a spoof of some romantic claptrap? The comedy was in his treating the camera as a woman. Funny stuff.

These guys are two of the greats And it would rock to have them in the DB.

I read the entire article with the Walken voice, accent, and inflection in my head. It was fucking hilarious.

It's not just pauses. There is a lilt and a tonality to it that defies reproduction in text.

My boyfriend pointed out that Walked somehow pronounces colons and commas.

Err, Walken. He's not past tense yet.

What it was was great. Unless you had a wiggy connection, in which case you got bogus freeze-frames instead of the almost cryogenic smoothosity of the Walken.

There is a plot of sorts. It seems to me that the Walken character dozes off in a chair in some hotel lobby, and the music that's playing on a nearby radio makes him dream he's dancing and flying around the hotel.

But who cares about interpretation when it's Walken?

Fatboy Slim's ok, too. I might have preferred the Propellorheads.

They cheated a bit - a few shots of the more acrobatic stuff are done with stunt doubles, cut cleanly through the use of digital compositing. Still, he was, I am told, a stage dancer once upon a time. Did you ever see his appearance on The Simpsons, reading to kids at a book fair? Absolutely hilarious!

I think the funniest thing I ever saw him do was a bit on SNL. Tim Meadows was playing a census taker and he was interviewing Walken. I'd give anything to see it again.
