I've been considering this all day and I still like the idea. Let's see if anyone else does. You know the run-on sentence thread. and you know the PV contests. Here is a combination. I post an image with one small edit, like so.

All I did was change the milk into blood. Other edits may be more grand.

Then we get a handful of people to sign up to be a part of this. I shuffle the names and the first one on the list takes my edited image and does one other small thing to it (which they post). Then I name the next person to edit the image and they play and post. Each person uses the image as it was edited by the person before them so that the last person should have quite a different image than the one we started with.

As for a winner... participants could vote on who they think made the most enjoyable edit.

(We could make it harder by saying that each person hands down the image and a directive, like "give her a clothing malfunction." But let's try it with simpler rules and see how we like it.)

So, can I get 3 - 7 people to sign up? That seems like a reasonable number.

I'm in, but I'm AFK from the 9th - 17th. If it's possible to predict when entries are needed, can I please not have to submit anything between those dates, as you'll be waiting a while...

Yes, it does indeed make my life so convenient to have a webhost that delivers a fatal flaw in their service yet refuses to take responsibility for it or reimburse me for the lack of service offered. The convenience is enhanced by my inability to afford to get another host until the lazy asshole who destroyed my car is able to stay out of jail for more than a week so he can hold down a job.

This is why ill never buy my own car. Public Transport is just fine for me, and it means i can build my savings for a decent house.

I have no desire to ever be one of the Icy Hot Stuntaz

And im fortunate to have an ISP that does free, and reasonably reliable, webspace as part of my package.

And if someone wants to run one of these after that feel free. Just speak up. I would suggest assigning teams of three or so and giving them the same starting picture and time limit. I was fun watching where this went, but it didn't have much of a contest flavor.

And f anyone else wants to continue where lukket leaves off, feel free. Run it on.

Rabid_Weasle

Ok, perhaps what we should do is that we can leave it, and then whenever someone wants to add something, they can call it. Then that person has say, 2-hours to do something with it, otherwise the call is cancelled and anyone else can. This way it'll prevent two people from editing it at the same time.

Yeah. And what Spankling said too...

By my calculations, only 1429 more iterations until we've converted it into Grant Wood's "American Gothic."
