Drex, I think you came onto the scene after crabby's "splash", but if you read the thread chronicling his entrance, I think that will answer your question. Concentrate in particular on the posts of June 27th in which yours truly planted that particular germ in crabby.

Needless to say, this should be required reading for all newcomers on how not to endear themselves to us. Maybe the FAQ should link to it, although in all fairness, crabby's rise to respectability shouldn't be forgotten either.

crabby September 5, 2001 9:03 PM	Actually I thought about a name change at first since everyone hated me. I was gonna go change my name and not be such an ass, instead I kept this name and stopped being such an ass. But Cappy was one of the names I considered but everyone would have figuered it was me. I also thought about Crappy, Jethro, and Lamont but in the end I decided to stick with crabby.
