This is NOT a racist cartoon. It is a culturalist one. I felt a black character would better potray a rap fan than a white one would.
Stereotype? Perhaps.

Cute! I like. :)

Here's a little PC game screencap edit I did for a friend's birthday card a year or two ago...

If you don't recognise the game I took the screencap from, the your computer game experience is sadly lacking. Fallout is a true classic...

Speaking of gaming, I ran across this once while looking for info on Final Fantasy IX.

Am I just a pervert or are all you perverts too? I'm guessing it's supposed to be leotards, but fuck if it looks like it.

Yes. Welcome to the club. Nametags are in the back, make sure to put it on upside down.

I take it you played 9. Any good? I dug 7, but thought 8 mostly sucked gopher balls, other than the improved graphics.

9's okay. it comes nowhere close to the story of 6 or 7, but it certainly blows 8 out of the water. of course, so does smurf racer. and garnet really does have a sweeeeet ass. (:

Right on. I'll have to get it now. If you ever want to waste thirty hours or so, go get FF3 for an SNES emulator. Fun little game, and well made for the time. Plus it tells a little of the story about how Summons/GF/Espers came to be.

FF3, the japanese one? i've never heard anything about it.

I have it as a ROM for a Super Nintendo emulator which is nice, cuz then it's free. It might have been released as ff3 in the states but was really 4 or 5 in Japan. Either way if you have an SNES emulator it's definitely worth having. Tell me if you want it and can't find it and I'll try to dig up the URL.

Yeah, as do the names "Bob and George" and "Life of Wily".
Sprite comics are nothing new.
Neither is the strip creator ;)

FFs 2, 3, and 5 were never released in English. FF1 was released as 1, FF4 was released as 2, and FF6 was released as 3. When Square moved from the SNES to the Playstation, they started numbering correctly and translating every game, prompting people to ask questions like "What happened to 4 through 6?"

IMO, the best of the unreleased games is 5, for the SNES. I haven't finished it yet, but I'm well into it. Though they were, as I said, never officially translated to English, you can expect to find a decent (but by no means perfect) fan translation of any of them.

You deceptive guy... FF5 was eventually released here on the PSX with Final Fantasy Anthologies.

I didn't like it very much, personally. I think the best two were FF6 and 7... the rest really don't come close at all in my book.

The sprites? Various places... After I found the Megaman sprites, I found another AWESOME place for just about EVERY damn character (even the PSX versions of the games).

Thanks for catching that. I don't own (and in fact have never played) a Playstation, so I wouldn't know. I'm using SNES9X and a fan-translated ROM. Quite a few townspeople say "(fill in later)". Fortunately, that usually doesn't happen during important, plot-advancing dialogue.

I think the best two games of the series are 4 and 6 (those that were released as 2 and 3 in English for the SNES). I haven't played 9 yet, though. And I certainly don't think that any of them (even 2 or 8, both of which have attracted the title of "worst FF game" from some quarters) are bad, just that 4 and 6 are excellent.

I am crossing my fingers and hoping that this project actually gets completed.

I'm a big console game nut. I remember playing FF1 waaaaay back in the day. *sigh...* I could never play it today, though. I can't see myself buying 99 potions, 99 tents, 99 cabins, 99 houses, 99 pures, 99 softs... one item at a time... ever again.

My favorite games of all time would be--

Persona
Persona 2 (EP)
Soul Hackers (Yeah, I'm an import snob)
Tactics Ogre
Final Fantasy Tactics
Shin Megami Tensei
FF 6
FF 7
Earthbound

Yeah... memories...

Dammit, none of those images worked for me.

And just because I'm a fanatic gamer, I'll say that my favorite RPG is a tie between Suikoden and FF8.

My favorite game overall is Team Buddies.
