I was thinking about ways for new visitors to find good comics on this site, and I thought that maybe in addition to toprated.php we could have a "Favoritest Users" list (yes, I know "favoritest" isn't a word) that would list the users who appeared on the largest number of favorites lists (not counting their own, and not counting duplicate appearances on the same person's list). In order to prevent people from stuffing the ballot by creating a lot of dummy accounts, maybe only donors' favorites lists should be considered. Not ideal, but better than the alternative.

Speaking of toprated.php, is it linked from anywhere on the site? It probably ought to be.

I've always had to type it into the address window to get there, so it would be a good idea to have a link to it.

I like the favoritest list idea, but if only the donors' lists were used, I think that would cancel out most of the lists I'm on.

I'm worried about that top rated thing, I think it's bogging the server down. Gonna look into optimizing it at some point.

The favorite users thing would be cool. Though right now favorites are just stored in a plain text list inside of user records. So it's hard to do anything but just search for words inside it, which means it's hard to turn that into a big ranked list.

You could turn toprated.php into a static HTML page that is updated every night. It would reduce the load on the server, particularly if you add more complicated statistics like the favoritest users.

You could just lock Dan into a room and have him constantly updating the lists, and if he doesn't you beat his ass.
