I mean we covered this ground already. What can be new? Or should this be a place for other professional strippers to be picked apart? Oh well, leave that for the next winner to figure out.

So you want more Larson? Try old school Larson!

The rules:

  1. One-panel comics only (of course).
  2. At least one animal must appear in your comic. It can be farm, domestic, wild, aquatic, extinct, etc.
  3. Most Far Sides don't have dialogue balloons. So yours shouldn't either. All dialogue appears in the narration box or the title.

Judging in a week.

I orginally made this with dialogue, but I deleted it when I saw the rules for this contest. Should work.

A robot is sort of an animal, and the Amish are pretty primitive...

Congratulations to all who managed to comply with that oh, so diffiicult Rule #2.

Guilty of Petty Larsony: Quodlibet for "Fetch" and Injokester for "5th Ave."

Guilty of Grand Larsony, and sentenced to being responsible for the next one of these things: Spankling, for "Spiritual Guidance for Cows."

I don't know. It just seemed especially Larsonish.

Very kind. Thanks.

Now I'm going to be rude and ask the inventors of this contest and past winner their thoughts on using this contest to have people do comics in other styles (Peanuts... Andy Capp... I haven't decided yet). Or must I find another twist to a Larson contest?

I find that a lot of the weekly comics are made in one panel format and black and white to fit all on one page somewhere in the back of the lifestyle section or near the movie listings. Perhaps the next one could be all black and white characters?

Good thought. So... stick with the one panel rule but open it up in other way (non-larson). Plus add my own rules like b/w etc. Does that sound reasonable? It could mutate into the One Panel Contest (OPC).

If I don't see objections "soon" I'll post a new contest.

Heh... just kidding. Proceed.
