Is there any chance at all of hoping to see a utility someone could use on their own website? I'd happily pay $20-$30 for it.

How about it, brad? Licensing your engine might be profitable!

On the other hand, it is probably more work than it's worth, trying to transfer the working solution from your server into something more portable...

I think it is a valid point... though I do think the author should have emailed/messaged you rather than doing this publically...

This has been suggested before. It would be problematic, particularly from the licensing side, since those artists who gave Brad permission to use their art for this site didn't necessarily grant permission for him to sell it commercially.

I know I'd sue him, but I'm a bastard.

*grins* I'm not asking for the artwork.

I've scoured the net for years looking for a utility like this that I could use my own graphics with. I've never found it.

Sometimes I ache, wanting this so much. :)

I apologize for not asking privately, I wasn't aware that it'd be a problem to do so. Pardon me.

I kinda figured you'd wanted to use your own art with it. I don't think it's really a problem, it's just that an answer would have been more likely and more prudent had you messaged brad directly. :)

I think the actual licensing of the engine would be pretty simple, it's just the packaging that would be difficult I think.

It might not be a bad idea, but if it were me, I'd charge a hell of a lot more than $30 for it.

I'd also buy this, although I'd rather have it burned to a CD and posted. It'd have to be relatively simple to use, and able to load with different art though.

If I could get it that way I'd pay US$50 + Postage charges. I figure I should speak up, if enough people do the same it might be incentive enough.

People have asked about this before, but I don't know if there'd be enough demand for the amount of work it would be.

I just feel like if you have your own art, how hard is it to put together your own static comics in Photoshop or something?

Didn't you make stripcreator because you were tired of doing that very thing?

That's true. I guess I just assume that I'm lazier than the average person.

You have reached new heights of laziness if you put forth all this work all for the sake of being lazy. XD Your laziness is greatly appreciated, however, since it spawned Stripcreator.

Oh, depending on how in depth you want to make it (if you do make it...), I'd like to be able to customize the panels to different sizes, borders, etc... up to the size normally used with comic books. Just a suggestion.

It'd also be nice with different fonts, or the capability to add different fonts.

Especially as you don't even admit to making any comics on the damn thing.

And I never will. That would undermine my authority.

Hmmm... just found this program, anyone around here know how to use it? Might be possible to make an SC widget?
