Avatars are now enabled in the forums. Donors should be able to add them in their preferences and they'll show up on their forum posts. Inappropriate images will be deleted. And images in forum signatures will be disabled soon.

Now all I have to do is get someone to shrink my forumusers character down and host it for me.

Looks the avatar thang is having problems with URLs that have tildes (~) in them. I'll try to fix it soon.

I was wondering about these...I saw the option when I first became a donor and I didn't know why anyone had one, so I didn't get one...but now I do!

How are some people getting avatars bigger than 60x60? I noticed they are usually skinnier on one side, so do they just have to be under 240 square pixels?

Brad has FINALLY gotten around to letting us see our avatars. It was only a matter of time, but I welcome it with as much enthusiasm as people who liked these two things welcomed it-Star Wars III, and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

There was a bug in the size checking code before. It should try to keep you at or under 60x60 now.

It's a genetic thing. Ask shank. He has some black in him. Occasionally.
