Okay, let's kick the idea around for a week or two. Poll format:

1. What time frame? Obviously 2006 so everyone can get finances in order before then, but pick one of these options:
A) Spring
B) Summer
C) Winter
D) Fall

2. Location? I wanted things to be more central to the most strippers, but that pretty much puts us at a party on a boat in the middle of the Atlantic. So, options (which can be narrowed down as time goes on)... (Choose two please)
A) United Kingdom (could be costly for Americans)
B) New England area
C) Midwest (St. Louis or Chicago would end up being the final destination for either of these)
D) Western coastish (California or Washington)

3. Agenda or no agenda? Do we want to do organized things as a group? Or do we just want to meet for drinks/dinners and have the days to ourselves?
A) Agenda
B) No agenda

That's a good start.

I love multiple choice!

B.

I'd say Central USA for this one.

A.&B. An agenda could be neato but peeps will also want to do their own thing.

An agenda would just be an outline of planned events. You don't have to follow it, and there would obviously have to be some planned free time in there anyway.

I meant to say "for this area" for option C on 2

My choices are:
1. D
2. A or C
3. A

I wrote about 7 paragraphs but lucky for you I edited it and what it boils down to is:

1) Don't mind. Can do April onwards, finances permitting.

2) C and B preferred - I plan to holiday in multiple locations in the US next year anyway. A is also A-OK with me, anyone is welcome in London anytime*

3) A is fine, but I'd be over to visit people, not tourist attractions. That said, may as well see them anyway, it's not every day you're in the US (unless you already live there)

I think we should all meet on-line... like at one particular web forum somewhere on the net. We could exchange jokes and crazy pictures and generally bat the shit.

Nah, that idea blows. Never mind.

1.B, because that's generally when most of us have free time.
2.C, because... it's central.
3.B, because organization is just not SC's thing and it should stay that way.

When Americans go somewhere with an agenda, people get bombed. Don't make us liberate you, kajun.

I vote for a little past summer (I have show from April-Julyish), in central US or maybe the left coast, with no real agenda besides getting drunk and swimming. Yeah!

Here's some games I'm thinking we should play:
"Pin the Cock on the Tobor" in which...um...you get the idea. Everyone wins, because everyone gets to hold Tobor's wee-wee.

"BLT's Limbo" In which 30 pages of BLT's horrible poetry is taped together and held up by two people, in which we have to go under it without touching the horrible poetry. No winners because poetry by BLT always kills kittens.

"Boinky's Hide and Go Seek" in which we pretend a large open space is the SC forums and pick teams. One team is "SC Regulars" who are the seekers, while the "Boinkys" are the hiders. The Boinky's hide, quickly show ourselves to the regulars, and run away, not to be seen for a long time. Last to get found gets complimentry use of Boinky's username on SC.

"Brad Idol" in which we sing songs from Brad's band, and get judged by Brad. Top Three get a prize, while bottom three get cornholed.

"Squidrabies' Tri-God-Alon" In which random trivia about God is asked by Squidrabies to competitors, whether it is true or not. Winner gets a Bible.

"Kaufman's Pussy-O-Thon" All competitors are given stray cats. Kaufman will tell us what the theme is (anything like, halloween, whore, fairy) and we must dress up the cat accordingly in 2 minutes. Kaufman will judge who won. Winner will get to keep the cat.

"Rabid's Weasle Pounder" Like that mole game at the arcade (where their heads pop up) but with real weasles and real sledge hammers. Person who gets most weasle's gets a point.

"Biped's Dark House" Enter the dark house and you'll feel two hands caress your body. The end. Everyone wins.

"Dcom's Guess the Flesh" Random flesh samples are picked from celebrities who have passed on, and we must guess who it is by using our five senses. Person who gets the most right gets a piece of flesh.

"Kajun's Fire Fly" Try to slay Kajun's pet Fire Fly, who spews fire. First to die loses.

"DexX's Dirty Dentistry" Try and sit through an hour of DexX cleaning your teeth with nothing but a Brillo pad and a letter opener. First to pass out loses.

"Spankling's Spanking" Guess what Spankling is using to spank you and win a point.

"Attitude Chicka's Travis-O-Thon" The first find Travis (Who chicka has hid somewhere in the continental US) gets a pat on the back.

"DragonXero's Xerox Challenge" Try to make 100 photocopies of each page of Dragon's name written over and over in different font without using the 100 button. You must manually make 100 copies of each page. (There are 100 pages.)First to finish wins the 10,000 pages he or she photocopied.

"Crabby's Night Itches" Try and see how long you last after Crabby releases crabs into everyone's pants. Last to itch gets to go to the doctor.

"Flipynif's SUPER SECRET COMPETITION" Unknown.

"Jes_Lawson's Intellect Test" Sit down for hours and take a test made up by Jes that consist of facts no human should know. Person who gets about a 21 gets Basken Robins.

Now, obviously, some mebers were left out, but after an hour of sitting here and writing this, I decided you all can finish off the list. So, PARTY GAMES list is NOT done, so please, add on whatever you feel is necessararryrary.

My answers to the questions rather depend on where I'll be next year... I may be in America if I succeed with my PhD application, or else I'll still be in the UK slaving away in the IT sector somewhere around the London area. Wherever I am, though, I'm definitely up for meeting everyone.

I think we should go somewhere where we can rent a large nuber of rooms at a hotel, forcing them to put our name on the convention sign outside:

"WELCOME STRIPPERS"

Their business will go up so much they'll wonder why they didn't think of that sooner. Then they'd give us all free rooms out of gratitude.

If that doesn't work, we should all go to Brad's house.

I could maybe do Oregon. Though I don't think I have the directional skills to make it there from Montana on an airplane, all by my lonesome. Airports scare and intimidate me. However, it'd probably be just a direct anti-stopping flight since it's fairly close, so that's good.

One of you guys would have to wait at my arrival gate to pick me up though so I don't get lost in Oregon's wild hills.

Excellent choice. Flights to there will likely be cheaper than to Oregon for most people. (Then again, accomodations in Vegas are probably a bit more expensive than the Eugene Super 8.) Plus, it's just a kickass place to visit. I'm headed there for Halloween this year for a music festival and to drink "warp core breaches" at Quark's Bar at the Star Trek Experience.

What about Vegas?

Great idea, however Vegas is going away from the semi family friendly area it used to be and going strictly adult oriented. If I take an amazing vacation this year to go anywhere (Pennsylvania, Oregon, next door) I'm going to have to bring the family. And some other strippers might feel the same way if they have young ones.

It seems everyone has some varying ideas on the matter. I was hoping to set something up in advance so everyone could move their schedules around, balance checkbooks, etc. But perhaps the best idea is to have two stripper meets to meet everyone's needs?

quote:
No, you can't have it at my place if you hold it in Seattle.

It's true, the farther up north you go, the less friendly people become about opening their doors to you.

If we do a thing in St. Louis again, I'd just like to announce that I will open my house up to all of you once again to trash and I won't clean it again for two months after.

quote:
I seriously doubt I'll be able to make it out of the midwest, but who wants me around anyawy?

Well, me for one. I'd love to meet all of you. I actually pay attention when you people talk (for the most part), which definitely says something about you. Plus, it gives me more time with the wonderful people I've already met from here like scyess who introduced me to sushi, boorite who luckily for me wore pants, ivytheplant who is a REALLY cool chick, Kajun who is only an asshole when you can't see him, and jes_lawson who is one of THE nicest guys in the world.
