I remember when mandingo first came to this site and my blind arrogance thought I could argue with him without building up a proper case with any evidence.
That's not to say I ever conceded defeat, but if you're going to try and match him in any kind of intellectual debate, you'd better have a pretty strong argument if you want to have any chance of not being made to look like an idiot.
I've spent very little time away from SC since I joined years ago and I've seen a whole bunch of users come and go and come back again without much change, the good users stayed good and the trolls stayed trolls.
What amazes me is that in the recent months the Old Guard have returned and started acting pretty childish, immature and downright stupid. Is this some kind of revolution that I'm not aware of? What was this thread actually supposed to achieve? Was there supposed to be a flood of support for LadyJ? I'm baffled, completely baffled, and a little disgusted. There are more individual little fights between users to keep an eye on now than there ever was with CHUBBY and what makes it worse is that this time there's all sorts of emotions and people taking things far too seriously.
I predict that it won't be long before someone is either A: Banned (or at least requested to be banned) or B: Storms off in a huff forever.
Anyway, that's my two-cents, you may resume the fighting.
