Copyright infringement is not really stealing. That's just recording industry propaganda. Copyright infringement is really violation of a limited monopoly granted the copyright owner by statute. Thanks, I'm here all week.

I agree with the HotRod guy.

Radiohead's my favorite contemporary band.

It's the only band that still drives me crazy waiting for the new album.

HotRod, I wonder if you listen to Sigur Ros at all? They remind me a lot of 'Head, and they manage to tide me over in between albums.

I've heard of that 'sigur ros' but nver listened to them.

Muse sounds a bit like Radiohead but they only have about two good sounds out of a hundred or so unlike Radiohead cos all of their songs are great :)

Also I think radiohead's new album is coming out soon according to a rolling stones issue that i read recently.

I would recommend you download some Ros songs. You might like them. Most of my fellow Head fans also have an appreciation for them.

Muse is... well, a poor man's Radiohead. Some of their songs are okay.

About the new album, yeah... I've been waiting for it since a month after 'Hail' came out three years ago. That's the thing about Radiohead. They always leave you wanting more. Sorta like boorite's mom.

Muse are nothing like Radiohead these days. They may have started off as a poor soundalike, but now they're more of a preposterous prog rock band.

Can music be gay? In my opinion, which is worth as much as you are paying for it, music can't be gay, because then preferences would be gay, and if a preferances were gay then it would be because they are "homo", or the same. And you probably like something because it's the same what you prefer...probably why you prefer it. And if you didn't prefer something, you wouldn't like it because it's different, so technichally, everyone else's music is straight, and you are gay.

I think The Village People was pretty clearly gay, whether all the straight people who listened to it realized it or not when they were still big.

In all fairness...
I like:
Oingo Boingo (insert gayness)
The B-52's (insert gayness)
Devo (insert gayness)
Marvin Gaye (insert straightness)
And almost any other band that is good and doesn't sound like new music.

David Motherfucking Lee Roth is the greatest Entertainer of all time.

AngryAmerican, stop making Drexle and I look bad.

Queen, Judas Priest and Pantera are all pretty gay. I'm just assuming with Pantera since most of the early work by the band made Poison look hardcore.

When I was growing up, I used to want to grow up to be like David Lee Roth. It was probably what drew me to start in radio (since I could neither sing, dance or play music).

I did manage to grow my hair long though.

Anyway, I have been curious how his radio show is. We don't get it here in Jacksonville.

In what way is it awful?

Is it "Like Howard Sterns" show?

Does he do any "bits" or just interviews?

Does he ever get grief from Howard Stern fans calling in to say "Bababooie" over and over?

Does he sound like he did in that Gigilo video where he is like "This is DaveTV, All Dave, All Night" or something like that, schmoozie?

Who else is on with him, and what are they like?

The only music thats really worth listening to is the 90's 'grunge scene' and 'rock 'n' roll'

Bands like:

Radiohead
Soundgarden
Smashing Pumpkins
Nirvana
Guns 'N' Roses
You Am I
Flaming Lips
Urge Overkill
Teenage Fanclub

etc.

Everyone picks music that they associate with a particular time in their life as 'cool'. When you turn on the radio and a band you remember starting out is called "Classic Rock" then you realize you are old and that nothing new is really going to be all that interesting or novel to you.

I could have swore you were Taylor on American Idol.

Also, in response to your comment about songs you remember from your past: I was watching some old music videos on either VH1 or MTV a few weeks ago and my only thought was: Oh my god, how high was I to think this music was good?

Finally, to everyone else: I listen to mainstream music, and I genuinely enjoy it. Mainstream COUNTRY. Bite my ass.

Speaking of gay....
An 'all gay' radio station was just approved for broadcast here in Toronto Canada. WTF?
My questions are:
Do gays listen to different music then straight people?
Do you have to be gay to listen to it?
Will they only play gay artists?
Can I still fuck a chick to "Careless Whisper" without feeling like a homo, now?

A station that only plays gay disco would be pretty fantastic, actually.
