I think you forgot to add ",Mom" after that, flate.

Let me just give you a rundown of today so far:

It started out good. The alarm was going off at around 6 and I was flailing my arms around to turn it off while still trying to stay in a state of sleep. Then I heard it again a short while later, except it wasn't my alarm, it was my cell phone. Dad called bright and early to be the first to say happy birthday. Then it started to go downhill. My son refused to give me a hug before he left for day care. I got to work and two girls called in sick, more work for me. Now, in my office we always pass around birthday cards to sign, even though most of our employees work outside the office, so I expected at least that much to recognize that today is a day of some importance. No birthday card. My boss skipped out at 10:30 this morning reminding me only to push for better results. Also, I do a little of everything in my office. For the past two months, it has mostly been typing. Another boss-like figure in my office now and then finds something as trivial as a spelling mistake and sends my coworker to chew my ass about it. Today he decided to do the very same thing. If I had any reason to feel appriciated at this job, it's all gone now.

So yeah, crappy birthday to me.

Thanks guys, though. You're like the mother's kiss on a 6 year old's scraped up knee. You make it all better.

Happy birthday!

I did not bring you a gift. You should be glad though, since "gift" in German means "poison" in English.

And "poison" in english means this...

Just realize that next time your son gives you a hug for no reason he's making up for not giving you one on your birthday.

Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!

Also, the JS comic roughly translates as:

DOCTOR: Your x-rays are quite clear. You have... a cake on your penis.

PATIENT: You mean, David Schwimmer violates me nightly?

Crazy Germans.

To celebrate your birthday, I wrote this poem.

THE BIRTHDAY KITTY CATS

Here come the Birthday Kitty Cats
Surrounding your house, setting it on fire
When you run out screaming, the force-feed you rats
Live rats, that gnaw their way out of your stomach.

Here come the Birthday Kitty Cats
Stripping you naked, painting you green
Dancing around you in festive party hats
Your nightmare is to be their human maypole.

DOCTOR : "I suppose, since it's your birthday...you could have sex with a cake."

PATIENT : "Betty Crocker is the closest I come to a real woman, ya know?"

I had to take a crack at it.
