That's going to be the largest pile of shit, to ever hit the big screen.

I guess the hardcore fans will still go no matter what though.

Hardcore fans... you mean the 20 year olds still living in the early 90's?

Shouldn't this movie have come out about 20 years ago?

20 Years ago? The CG would have been the equivalent of TRON. *Shudder*

It may suck, but I'm on geek overload at the moment. So bite me! (joke)

No, hardcore nerds and men in their early to mid 30's still living in the mid 80's.

The Go-bots were nothing more than the Caliper-wearing, ginger-haired step-brother of the TFs.

Heh-Heh...

Transformers actually contains quite a bit of incestual fan fiction.

Actually, Luxo Jr by Pixar came out 20 years ago and ushered in the age of fucking awesome CGI that we enjoy today.

What about hardcore fans who grew up with Transformers, have all episodes on DVD, have a ton of the toys, went to Botcon twice, and was even in a couple of fan groups, but aren't 30 yet, aren't men, and would rather have their teeth ripped out than live in the 80's or 90's again?

I would brave opening day for the new Transformers movie. Though I might go alone and in disguise.

It's gonna suck, man. I hear that Bumblebee is the central character, and that he is voiced by John Stamos. Also, energon cubes have been replaced by E-85 flex-fuel as product placement for the GMC Sierra. Also, Optimus has been replaced by a character named Faggotron. It's gonna suck hard donkey.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Actually there were a couple Autobots and a few Decepticons.

I mean...my friend has a crush on some Transformers. Not me. That would be like...lame... (I love you Faggotron!)

As much as I like Transformers, I have to admit there is no chance of this movie not sucking.

90% chance this movie will simply be pure suck.
8% chance it will not suck, but make little kids piss their pants.
2% chance it will be non-sucky and actually resemble the original, whilst improving on some aspects.

The 90% chance also includes the possibility that it will suck AND make little kids piss their pants. I kinda hope they don't try to make this too serious.

1998 in Anaheim and 1999(?) in St. Paul. Since I was living in St. Paul at the time, it would have been a sacrelige not to go. I really wanted to hit Botcon 2005 because I heard they were doing some great stuff, but there was no way I could have afforded it.

The 4th of July?
I think they may have just forgotten the "1 year" part of it. It's possible that the site wasn't meant to be found.

Cool! I went 1999 in St. Paul and 2002 in Ft. Wayne, IN. I have a friend who goes every year... but I'm not that hardcore.

I will most likely see this movie. Within the opening week of it's release. I can't be disappointed, having never really made time for the cartoon as a kid. I'm too embarrased at the moment to admit what I was watching instead. Another story for another time.
