The fact that they lost to someone OTHER than Big Ben is pretty sad.

Batch did a good job, but Culpepper is better. I just wanted to walk into work and tell all of them Mississipians that I "told them so."

And here I thought that game was showing promise.

That Steelers player (No. 10, whatever his name was), damn dude. Two major mistakes in a row.

Not as much disdain as being a Packers from Chicago... Especially after yesterday.

And crabby can keep his smartass comments to himself. Actually, he has though since he's told a couple people to call me a faggot.

The best part was how hilarious the other people thought it was.

Did anyone else enjoy watching the Raiders offensive line collapse all over poor Aaron Brooks last night?

It's because he's black.

I did, briefly, until I realized that they're all just a bunch of asshole millionaire jocks who'll retire in luxury and sit around laughing about all the poor working class schlubs who made them rich and who are still out there busting thier humps at jobs they despise. At that point, my fleeting enjoyment of Aaron Brooks' misfortune seemed pretty hollow.

I'm pretty sure most football players die before the age of 50 and many are forced to leave the game with crippling injuries which don't allow them to enjoy retirement as much as they like. They do get paid alot of money though.

Being 6'8 and close to 400 lbs. isn't good for you either. It also isn't good to make a living being hit by other people that big. It really takes it's toll.

The cocaine play's it's part as well, however, there are plenty of 'normal' people who do coke well into their 80's. So, I really think you're just stretching for a way to bad mouth people with more money then you and that's a sad way for us working class folks to live.

Take running backs for instance, who more than often have to sprint head first into a dogpile of 8-10 guys each weighing 300+ pounds over 20 times a game. It's like running into a wall made out of fat white guys.

they've chosen their life and are making boatloads of money, fuck em.
what i would truly enjoy watching are guys who literally play for love of the game. guys who get paid a reasonable salary 70-85K a season and play because they fucking love to.
that would make me watch football.

Don't forget about the Wolves. They are the real hockey team in town anyway. With the classy pick up of Pat Foley to do their play by play the Wolves have more of a fan base than the Hawks do. It really shows how professional of an orginization the Wolves are and how horrible of an orginization the Hawks have become.
