I think whatever site(s) you're getting of these only let's you link images from their site, not from other sites (like this one). You can see them because they're already in your cache so they don't have to fetch image data for stripcreator.
I say this because the X isn't a broken link... and if you click on "properties" you can copy the URL and go directly to the JPG. Then come back to stripcreator and you can see it.
