Because it's getting to be that about 85% of the traffic in this "discussion" forum has to do with comic competitions of some variety, I'm giving competitions their own forum. "Comic competitions" -- if you guys can think of a wittier title, you win the first "comic competitions title contest".

I'm not sure how much anyone cares about the integrity and order of old threads and contests in that forum. Do you mind if the order gets screwed up as people post to the old comic threads (as it does in this forum), or do you want me to force it to sort by the root post on the thread, like the System Notices forum. For now I'll set it up like this one. If anyone cares, you can post here or drop me a line.

Also, if I missed any threads that should get moved over there, let me know. My apologies for any confusion this may have caused.

Brad November 2, 2001 12:13 PM	Only by my inability to keep moving comic contests over there as they happened instead of waiting until I was 70 behind. And there are so many other types of contests, having one forum under the "stripping" heading seems like the best solution.

evil_d November 2, 2001 12:25 PM	I think you missed Serial Comics 1 - 3, and Comic Cup 1, which is actually in a thread called something like "Here it is!" I would prefer the threads line up according to initial post, like in the System Notices forum. I wonder whether this move will encourage or discourage participation in the contests.

Brad November 2, 2001 12:28 PM	If you guys could include the URLs for the threads I missed, you would be the sweetest. I don't think it will discourage participation. You guys have proven to me that competition is some sort of primal need that can't be stopped.
