Now, I am just curious as to how many SC'rs out there are amongst the tattoo'd realm.

I myself have two tattoos... one done last year at this time, and the other was done last Friday. First one is, quite obviously, a trinity knot. Second is a daisy with my grandmother's initals at the bottom. Her favourite flower is the daisy. The amusing thing is that she absolutely despises tattoos, so we'll see what she has to say about it.

I urge everyone to share pics of said ink jobs, or sweet piercings... and I hope that I'm not the only one posting to this thread.

He sees it more than I ever do. I forget it's there most of the time.

I'll let that little bit of TMI simmer for a while.

It's on the top of your feet?

 HAHAHAHA!

Damn, if only you were fat. That setup was too good :)

I was going to get a little Mad Hatter on the back of my shoulder, but I haven't actually gone through with it yet. It would make an interesting conversation piece.

Im in the process of building up my arm so I don't look stupid. Thinking of getting a sword with a snake coiled around it, though it's early days yet so I'm open to suggestions.

I posted a similar thread years ago, and only Ivy and I showed our ink. My pic link is now broken. I'll take another tonight when I get home.  I'll just show you my ankle tattoo, and not the one on my right butt cheek.

This one I did myself at a party back in 1987. It's just three dots on my knee

This one I got on my first visit to NYC. Tattoo parlors were still illegal back then so I got it in a guy's apt way uptown

Here's mine.

Honestly, I wish I hadn't let my Crazy Ex-Neighbor© convince me to get the damned triple moon-pentacle thing on there instead of a stylized north star like I always used. Ah well. I can always have it replaced with something.

What I really wanted was Lily (my cat) tattooed on my left shoulder so she'd always be with me (she loves sitting on my shoulder). Then I realized she'd try to climb on my shoulder while it was healing and I decided I'd rather avoid the pain.

I knew that I had remembered something along those lines, I just wasn't sure who had started it, or how long ago it was started, etc etc.

Besides, this time, I can actually contribute something tangible as opposed to contributing "what I am thinking of getting is..."

This is mine:

The link is the rest of the pics I have of the tattoo, including the healing stages and the same knot in a different style on my sister's back.

I have a tattoo on each choulder.  The right is a stylized cross I got when I turned 18 (It's actually a symbol from an RPG I was in love with back in the day; score one for dorkitude).  The left is just some tribal-style bird with outstretched wings I got to cover the scar left by my smallpox vaccination from when I was deployed.

I am allergic to needles. Not to the point that they stop giving me shots, but to the point that when they do it's swelled and red for days afterwards. Giving blood is also a pain.

Getting a tattoo involves enough swelling without the added emphasis of my own natural metal repelling swelling. I also can't wear earrings and necklaces make a dark spot appear on my neck that takes a long time to go away. Metal is my enemy.

Does it count that the only tattoo I've ever had was drawn on me by a drunk friend on Halloween who was trying to make my extremely shitty "Nelly" costume look a lot less shittier? No? Fuck.

So do I.  And amusingly, in light of ivy's Lily story, my wife's tattoo is on her left shoulder blade, and is of a cat.

I keep telling you that you and I are the same person. Or did you tell me?
