You're right.  That would narrow it down a bit.

OK, I've decided I'm just gonna roll 4D6 and consult the following charts:

Band Name Part 1 of 4:

Band Name Part 2 of 4:

1) Mountain

2) Brook

3) Hollow

4) Top

5) Bottom

6) Pants

Band Name Part 3 of 4:

1) Honey

Band Name Part 4 of 4:

In this way, I can generate over 1,000 possible band names.  If only 10% of those are names of real bands, I've got my list!
