Take two characters, one real and one fictional, and have them meet.  For example, Abraham Lincoln meets Darth Vader.  The more different the characters, the better.  You can explain why they're meeting or not; just have them interact.

/comics/Scyess/468611/

The fictional character can also be something you make up.  e.g. Alexander the Great meets The Sex Change Fairy.

Rules!

  1. Series are okay!  But comics will be judged individually.
  2. In-jokes are old and boring and too easy. They will loose.  (Sorry, Injokester!)
  3. I'll allow one old comic or series submission from each participant.  Otherwise no limits on entries.
  4. Photoshop is okay, but will have to be extra funny to win.

Judging will be subjective and influenced by bribery (hopefully).  It will also be in the next week or two.  If the contest is a dud, I reserve the right to change the rules in the middle.

So get stripping!

If that's George Lucas and Obi-Wan, then yes. If that's George Lucas and Ewan McGregor or Alec Guinness, then no.

Either way, all you have to do is post the URL of the comic strip you'd like to post in the forums and the board software automatically loads it.

Rule #6:  You have to post all entries in this thread because I'm too lazy to click through.

I've been meaning to make this comic for a while but this seems the perfect opportunity to do it.

It is, indeed, time to judge this thing.  I thought it had only been open two weeks.  Thanks for the healthy dose of understanding.

Okay!  First of all, the Largest Number of Funny Entries award goes to RandomComicLayoutGuy.

Special Comics that Made Me Feel Ignorant Because of References to Stuff I Don't Know About awards go to AngryAmerican and four_legged_tripod

Honorable mentions to LittleRocker, arbi, seanator.

EXTRA SPECIAL honorable mentions to four_legged_tripod, RandomComicLayoutGuy, TheGovernor.

In the end, I was torn between these two:

/comics/RandomComicLayoutGuy/468889/
/comics/Namgubed/468763/

But after all I had to give it to Namgubed, because God saying "infinity" is somehow hilarious.

Thanks for playing, kids.  CC430 is Namgubed's.

Wow, thanks!

I don't really believe that God is fictional, however I do believe that the god who looks like the character by injokester is purely fictional.  Hope that clears things up.

Anyway, new contest will be up, uhh ... soon.
