Even I'm getting a bit tired of all the Glasgow-related banter. I think I was the first Glaswegian regular, but I don't recall talking about it to such an extent. I sympathise with those who complain. If people went on about Cleveland half as much, I'd be eating my tongue.

Anyway. Scots that I know of on the forum: me, kramer, KKP, arrandildocompany and Kajun Firefly. JrnmrymrnrmynmNate has some Caledonian blood. Sincere apologies to any I missed out.

rather than start a new thread and be flamed for starting another Scotland discussion, I just want to ask if anyone knows the name of Scotland's mother-land or whatever it's called, it's original name, it's something like Jareda or Jaredo I think, but I can't remember.

If any non-Scots know the answer, please feel free to post it, or any smart ass answers...

that's it, Dalriada, I just couldn't remember and it was driving me up the wall.

Random Scottish Story:

I was watching the History Channel and they said that when the Roman's were taking over Britain (mostly England and Wales) the furthert North they got was York, whilst there, the Scots tried an attack but the Roman defence was inpenetrable, so the Scots set up camp outside, having got bored of waiting, the Scots armies started to just fight amongst themselves, killing each other. The Romans were so confused by this that they retreated in the middle of the night.
