Don't tell her I told you this story, but my wife once freaked out because she thought she saw a spider while we were walking through a parking lot.  It was the hole in the center of a discarded CD jewel case.

I can definitely say that my wife has experienced the same thing. :)

I'll spare you my tale of woe, my life turned to absolute shit not long after we last chatted. My favourite part though: a GP giving me a hard time for drinking every night, followed by the look on his face when my hands turned out to be more steady than his, after he refused to believe the tests that came back to say I'm fine. Hey maybe I'll become a surgeon, I said, make the big bucks.

Injokester! I sort of followed your story in the RMDC forum, and I'm sorry that things took a turn for you. It seemed that things were slowly turning around. Is that not the case?

Also, is DillanGibbs a glitch in the matrix or something? I clicked on his member rating (because I couldn't understand how a person with no comics has a member rating) and was taken to evil_d's user info instead.

Hey gang, I'm sorta back too now. Deleted my Facebook a couple weeks back and work finally found out about the blog I'd been writing for the past 7 years detailing my life as a strip club bouncer, so that's pretty much ruined now.

Still a high functioning alcoholic though, so I got that goin for me.

Was diabetic, lost a bunch of weight, now not diabetic anymore. Quit smoking, started back up again, got a cat, had guns pointed at me and am steadily chipping away at my credit card debt.


Other than that I'm completely the same narrow minded idiot I was WAY back in aught 7, aught 8.

Hey AA. Credit card debt, eh? More power to ya. Congrats on beating diabetes? I don't know that it ever truly goes away, just more or less your blood sugar range isn't dangerous enough to warrant medication/regular testing/monitoring. 

Thanks AC, I guess as long as I don't have to shoot myself full of pancreas squeezins every day, it's a win.

My goal is to be debt free by the end of the year and then move to the middle of nowhere and not have to talk to another human face to face until I'm killed by local wildlife.

It's a work in progress.
