lara7 December 11, 2001 9:19 PM	read my damn comics forum, "Check out frosty smooth" messages seem to be on infinite repeat, and I'd wager that the IP addresses of "stripcreatx0r" and "Spongebob1" are the same. If you've ever wanted to get all old testament and smite someone, please pick this guy.

Drexle December 11, 2001 10:42 PM	I reported that a while ago, and Brad handled it... unfortunately, the troll has now decided to post 6 repeats to individial threads in an attempt to make deleting them all a bigger pain than just wiping out a single 200 post thread. These are the times that I actually banning would be nice.

It's actually not any harder to remove, just different MySQL queries. If it's a whole thread I type:

DELETE FROM [database] WHERE subject = '[thread subject]';

If it's individual posts I type:

DELETE FROM [database] WHERE username = 'Spongebob1' OR username = 'stripcreatx0r';

Both take about half a second to process.

The second one is slightly messier because it doesn't kill all the replies of "SHUT THE FUCK UP!!" and "STOP THAT!!" from other users so they all wind up looking like they were yelling about nothing.

Pretty simple and easy to do even when you're trying to get drunk to avoid worrying about your dentist appointment tomorrow.

But then again, I don't know too many people who drink themselves into a stupor over a routine dentist appointment... and the ones who are likely to, generally don't need an excuse of any kind to get hammered.

Brad December 12, 2001 7:43 PM	I didn't need to get a root canal although my dentist said that I may still need one eventually if my tooth starts to hurt again. He gives me a 50/50 chance. Also I fixed all the reply counts so the paging in threads that were flooded should be fixed now.

I asked the dentist and that's what he said as well. I told him that for a month I'd been telling people "30% chance of a root canal" and they all act shocked and concerned for me and then hand me whatever spare change they have on them. He told me they're just 'elaborate fillings'.

My whore's head was aching the other day, I took her to the vet and he said it was the rarest case of "Andy's Maw" syndrome he'd ever seen.
