Since 'All your base' and its ilk have made everyone sick of reference-based humor, here's the latest challenge: Use as many refs and reference-based gags as you can in one strip. It's better if you can still do something humorous with an overused ref, but more obscure stuff is good.

If you set yourself on fire, will you take pictures?
If so, please lose, that would be quite funny!

I knew I should have gotten a comic up earlier. I wanted to be the first to use, "What you talkin' 'bout, Willis?".

Damn you, descolada! You'll pay for this!

This is comic contest #13. Get it. 13. Thirteen. One-Three. Bad Number. I'm pretty superstitious about that number since when I was 13 years, 13 months, 13 days, and 13 minutes old (shut up those of you that did the math) I was befriended in a park by a man who was wearing an overcoat with 13 buttons and who, umm, let's say "occupied" 13 hours of my time thereafter. So therefore I've decided to withdraw myself from this contest and say 13 rosemaries for all of your souls. God help us all for armageddon will strike when the 13th message is posted to this string.

On second thought...

For fun, count the number of characters in gabe's handle. Coincidence or Anti-christ?

Bugger....

Looks like I won't be winning this one. Couldn't some of you guys take some funny-repression pills for a week or so? They contain a glandular extract from Paulie Shore...

Though wirthling and bunnerab jammed plenty of good (well, bad) references in their strips...

The winner is... descolada! Connecting a set of old refs with one of my favorite SNL bits was great.

Now, enough of my talkin' jibba jabba.

Phew, we narrowly escaped disaster. Comic Contest XIII just wrapped up and there were only 12 replies to the string. One more and armageddon would have struck. Thank you all for you succinctness.

Wait a minute, this post is number 13! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..............(I love O'Henry endings.)

SNL? Monty Python's Four Yorkshiremen did it first...
