Here's more that might help explain what Domo-kun is, but probably not.

Basically, Domo-kun is a mascot on Japanese TV. Yes, he farts. He is apparently very popular over there.

Domo-kun is also very popular with the photoshoppers over at fark. Cliche Kitty, also included in Nasty Pope's photo above, is another favorite at fark. Altogether, it's a very farky photo.

I've never seen the original, but the remake was really good... but that dmned Tony Danza nearly ruined it. He is one of the worst actors I have ever had the displeasure of seeing in a serious dramatic role.
