Actually, I'm not, I thought we were supposed to lie in the thread titles these days, "I'm leaving", "I'm REALLY leaving" etc etc.

Actually, I'm hoping that those of you with nothing better to do can give me a hand. For a crappy not-really-important College essay, I've to review a really crappy website and basically say what the hell is wrong with it.

I was hoping that those of you who surf endlessly for links to put in the "Tattoo Barbie" thread could maybe do my dirty work for me, what with me being a lazy bastard and everything.

So, links to crappy websites, you have 12 hours, GO!

You wussbags would die in Australia.

Melbourne is on the Southern coast, so it has the coolest temperatures of any Australian capital apart from Hobart (Tasmania). Every summer, the days regularly get up past 35C (95F), and it is unusual to have a summer go by without a few 40C (104F) days. During one of the hottest Melbourne summers on record, the temperature never dropped below 25C (77F) for three weeks, not even at night. In the middle of that period weeks, the daily top was over 35C (95F) every day for over a week.

Of course, we rarely drop below freezing (0C, 32F) in any place in Australia, except in the mountains and in arid areas (where, as everyone knows, the hot days are balanced by freezing nights). In the most populous areas of Australia, it just doesn't snow. You want to ski, you go up into the mountains, or take a holiday in New Zealand. Roughly the top half of the country never really has winter at all, but most of us, stupidly, live in the bottom half. Damned English colonists...

Gee, 95F for over a week. Try that with 70%+ humidity and nighttime temps above 80F and you'll know what a July in Maryland is like. (Actually, we had a rather mild summer last year.)

DexX, I don't mean these are all-time record temps, just records for these dates. It's not supposed to be 95 in April in Maryland. It wouldn't be too unusual in Louisiana, where I'm from. There, it's summer temps and 95% humidity from about April to November.

So I could eat your vaunted Australian weather for breakfast and still have room for a bout of kangaroo fucking.

(Not really. I hate the sun.)

Oh you WHINERS!!!

None of you have obviously lived or been in Houston during the summer....(yes it's hotter AND more humid than Lousyana....Boo, did you by any chance go to McNeese? hehe)

It's April and already the temp is 85 degrees with 69% Humidity. In the summer (Pretty much year round it seems here lately.....) temps range from 97 degrees to 105 with high high humidity. Add mosquitos the size of fruit bats and pollution from the nearby petroleum plants....mmmm lovely.

Again....Texas is the 7Th level of hell!

I've spent some time in the triangle, Jael, and yes, it's hell. But the culture! That makes it all worthwhile.

MCNEESE? No, I went to the aulde war skule. LSU! Go Tigers!

Ouch, I just lost like a million brain cells.

Twice, I've driven from Galveston to southern Colorado in August, and there is a noticeable demarcation between Hell and not-Hell which I am told is the Edwards Plateau. When you're going up, it's as if a hot wet blanket has been lifted, a blanket you didn't even know was there all along and making you miserable unless you happen to be an insect pest, in which case you thrived under it. And then coming back, the blanket splops back onto your head and shoulders with what seems like vengeance.

Uck.
