That's an option, but I think it loses something when you leave off the denouement. I'm sure the reader can come to their own conclusion, but if there's going to be any character building in the series, the reader needs to know a bit about what goes on in the mind of the protagonist.
The "I hope Cathy uses mouthwash" line was the only ending line that I thought was worth the time to think up. The rest just ruin what would otherwise be a "gurgle-worthy" funny comic.
(Gurgle-worthy as in, I don't laugh so much as gurgle in pain at the horrible punchline.)
