The rules for this one are quite simple. SC.com regulars have quite a lot of running gags that we have lots of fun with. I want to to deviate from the cliches and do something... well, wrong.

Include at least one of the following:

- Red robot, but not Tobor.
- Asian girls, but no prostitution.
- Scientist, but no Dr Pedantic.
- Dragon, but no Surly Dragon or Bazilla.
- Wirthling. but no "wirthling sucks".

Apart from requiring one of these, you cannot use any those characters in defiance of these rules. You can't use a non-pedantic scientist to meet the requirements, and then include Tobor, for example.

It's 2:30 Tuesday afternoon over here, 12:30am Tuesday morning SC.com time. I will judge in approximately three and a half days - around 10am-noon Friday, SC.com time.

The Star Spangled Banner always sounds like that to me...

Who writes a song with such a wide range, and then expects drunk sportsfans to sing it properly?

The music to The Star Spangled Banner was originally a British drinking song that just happened to match Francis Scott Key's poem. Maybe one of you more British-oriented folks can name the original song.

In the meantime, in order to make one comic with every "non cliche" in it, here are two more entries:

76093

I had trouble thinking up one for the Asian girl, so I just made this one:

76108

I used Holly instead of Asiangirl2 because -- let's face it, folks, asiangirl2 does not look in the least bit Asian.

That's why they make them sing it in the first inning. That's also why Take me out to the ballgame (the song that's sung during the 7th inning stretch of baseball games) is nearly monotone.

And, coincidentally, the British drinking song was titled AH GAWG gNAR!!!

Steve Wright in the afternoon was legendarily good.Mr Angry , Mr Spoons , Easy Life , The Daleks , "William Shatner Sings". All comedy gold moments.

However , Steve Wright in the morning was trash , Steve Wright on TV was trash , and his current show on Radio 2 , 3 ,4 , or wherever theyve pensioned him off to is ........... not too bad.

He now does the elegantly named "Steve Wright in the afternoon" on Radio 2, and some Sunday morning love songs or something. For those wondering:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/steve_wright/
His program includes Factoids (useless facts), Website of the Day (Miles Mendoza's), and special guest, quizzes the Brittish type of stuff. He is also involved in Top of the Pops 2 and some crap I'm unaware of.

Okay, a quick run through of the ones I thought were particularly good...

ObiJo's strips about "pud" - inspired nonsense.
Kaufman's "free kick" strip - visual gag!
ObiJo's one about deaf people singing the national anthem - disturbingly hilarious (or hilariously disturbing?)
Scyess's strips about the smokey dragon - juxtaposition of incompatible elements, AND visual gags!
ObiJo's pud-gnar crossover - speechless...
kaufman's Sam Semaphore strips - did I mention I like visual gags?
Big Evil Dan's whole Knight Life series - Spread the word throughout the land: Dan's a funny bastard.
NeoVid's Cowboy Physics strip - cleverly exploiting my forgetfulness.
israphael's machine the goes "fwap" - a great example of the self-cleaning joke.
NastyPope group therapy - "Ooh, tongue depressors!"
Big Evil Dan's Butch couplet - especially "urges".
Namgubed's masquerade strip - subtle visual gags...
and finally NeoVid's limb collection strip - a greeting to arms. :D

Maybe that's too many honorable mentions, but fuck it, I'm judging and I really liked all of them. There can only be one winner, though, otherwise we get civil wars and shit, which nobody wants, so the winner is...

israphael for the pure nonsense value of this one:

76211

ObiJo is a very, very close runner-up with his GNAR vs PUD epic.
