I asked people to post these types of strips in Read My Damn Comics and I liked the idea so much I decided to make it a competition. ,y apologies for making more than one thread in relation to the same thing, I know how you guys hate that. I would recommend that at the very least you stop using the punkwhateverboy account, create a new one, and never let on that you were that dense schmuck that everyone came so quickly to abhor. My usual philosophy is "live and let live." If someone comes on here and makes an ass of themselves, I don't really care as long as they're having a good time making comics and participating in our community and not purposefully being antagonistic. I'll even suffer some antagonism if the person calms down and learns to play nicely with others over time. This person, however, has made a series of blunders, even after being alerted that people were getting annoyed by such behavior. It was more than a single slip perhaps due to a short attention span. That's why I decided to pitch in my thoughts, anyway.

Actually, it's often the dissenters who are in the moral right. I'd rather forget about the punker. I still find him intolerably annoying, but what's done is done. I don't hate him for what he did, but I still find him REALLY fucking annoying.

Also, the most verbose newbie-bashers are nearly always those who were recently, or still are, newbies themselves. SC.com's forums have a long tradition of the slightly-less-newbie slinging handfuls of shit at the slightly-more-newbie. They seem to think that they are standing with us by opposing newbies, when they are usually being just as annoying, and sometimes even more so.

That said, skab and boinky have not simply made a faux pas that could be easily overlooked. As El Sucko pointed out, skab has made blunder after blunder... over-reacting to a mostly positive comment in RMDC, engaging in a campaign of multiple threads against dcomposed for this supposed insult, apologising incessantly for that until his apologies were almost as annoying as the offence, his insistence on getting the last word, and then his ridiculous contest... It may very well be the worst SC.com debut ever.

Then there's boinky, whoi is either terminally stupid or a deliberate troll. With the email username "TrollOrgy" I know which of the two my money is on. Boinky has, quite simply, embarked on a quest to post as many inane, pointless, and stupid posts to the forums as he possibly can, including a supposedly accidental triple-posting of a new thread advertising his webcomic which he had already advertised heavily in previous postings, and which it has been established stole most of its good jokes from Space Moose anyway.

Contrast this with others, now regs... Fuzzyman started off making a new RMDC thread for every new comic. He was asked not to. He stopped. He's now a well-liked fixture on the forums. Crabby adopted a silly schtick, started trolling, then realised he actually liked the place and started just being himself. Like fuzz, crabby is now a part of SC.com folklore, and his Crappy Comics thread is an unstoppable glacier.

I try not to lead any newbie bashing, if there is a thread that is turning into a newbie-fest argument, I'll step in and tell them all to go jump off a bridge. Past experience should have taught me that this is in fact a bad idea. Having no patience with newbies ISN'T the key. It only results in them becoming quite angry and insulting. Although it's hard to just sit back and let them run around screaming, shitting on the walls.

I have had a couple of run-ins with punksaloadofshitboy and neither of us got anywhere, I insulted him, he insulted me back, so I left it.

Then I came here and found this post, I just typed "*sigh*" because I really REALLY didn't have the energy to get into this conversation again. Punkdiedyearsagoboy already classed me as a brainless newbie-hater so nothing I said would solve anything.

It's a kind of reggae type music from Jamaica in the 60s. Things like the Specials. Lots of brass. Very good if done right.

Mind you, doing a search for Ska on Kazaa brings up a few weird results, like Blink 182 and [spunge] who are about as Ska as my arse.

A little about the REAL me so you can understand this is true. I graduated from Highschool with a NY State regents with High Honor diploma damn near the top of my class, I am culturally intelligent as well having been in at least 25 plays/musicals and in the fall i am attending AMDA (The American Musical and Dramatic Academy) in NYC. After which time i will be a professional actor as you leave the school with a professional certificate. I find some of the comments you guys have put forth to not only be rude, but sometimes down right fucked up. Such as telling me to commit suicide, or die horrible deaths, I think that goes a little too far even just to type in words on a computer. I made mistakes, you mocked me for apologizing, you mocked me for EVERYTHING i've done. Well, if all you guys want to do is mock me, maybe I dont want to post in forums. Not for your sake as you apparently want me to die and like to critisize my lifestyle, but because a community of people who are non-forgiving and just in general not nice people is not one I wish to belong to. I will think about it, but maybe I will just make comics and occasionally post them in Comic Competitions. Punky, what that mincing pansy-ass boorite is trying to say is that if you notice, this is a place where most people trade insults and barbs with each other and it's cool. Why didn't people like you at first? You broke the first unwritten rule of the forum. You take shit too seriously. Taking shit personally and acting defensive like you have a telescoping phallus shoved up your ass is the surest way to get knobgobblers like the people here to slam you in earnest. No, see it isnt like that, this all started because I tried to crack one back, look in the infamous "unwitty" thread...I tried to crack one back, and everyone jumped down my goddamn throat and it NEVER stopped, everytime I tried to crack one back, all the fucking regs and people thinking they are regs ganged up on me...I had no choice but to fight back with long winded shit because what else was I to do? No one likes being ganged up on, I am no exception. I can tolerate it every now and then as it is part of life. However, I was never given a chance. This is, in part, due to the fact that I fucked up first thing by reading OLD posts by Dcomp. and thinking he was a pompous jackoff...once I realized they were old posts, I apologized and stopped. The other issue was the "unwitty" thread, which if you look at closely, I was slammed, so I slammed back. Was I too harsh on Dcomp for everyone's liking? It sure doesnt seem that way based on how harsh everyone has been with me. It seems to me this whole thing happened because I "slammed back" like you are now telling me i SHOULD have done.
