I think you should be able to rate other comics. For example...At www.newgrounds.com they have a rating system for each flash game/movie.
(i.e.)
Choose from 1-10
1 guy chooses 10
Another guy chooses 5
Therefore the total points will be, 7.5.

Actually, I still kind of like it.

I used to go to it way back in the old skool 1995 days.

I started going in like 97 or 98.

I loved whack a seal and assasin.

Stripcreator had a scoring system when it first went online. Some early strips make reference to it. The system was eventually removed, probably in part because it encouraged people to care more about getting high scores than about being funny, but mostly because the ratio of strips to users is such that most strips would likely never receive a meaningful number of votes.

i think rating is a good idea.

we do not really need a 1-10 scale though, because you can get in-depth reviews by e.g. spankling if you ask for it.

I preferred Newgrounds back in BC, when it was just a lot of cave paintings. I tell you, Thrug used to come up with some classic stuff about mammoths...
