This is intended to be an ongoing thread for strips that stretch beyond the bounds of Strip Creator, robust as it is. If you can't quite draw it in Strip Creator, draw it and post it here. For a list of free web space on which to store files, visit the FAQ (or Beta-FAQ) thread.

Enjoy.

I should tell you I didn't create this, though I wish I had. But it strangely reminded me of the sort of thing you see at Stripcreator, so...

I recently had the good fortune to come upon a supply of old children's books. I'm scanning as we speak. I plan on distilling the characters down into something we can use - mix and match with TOBOR and the rest. But the raw material is so grand I'm trying to figure out a way to share them as is. I could zip them and leave them someplace... Any ideas?

Jason didn't get the files I sent using Hotmail - probably too big. (Thanks anyway J!) So now I'm trying to upload them to Crosswinds at the following address:

http://www.crosswinds.net/~spankling/index.html

It was a quick and dirty sollution. Let me know if you have trouble. These are the raw files. I'm also processing these files to extract usable characters. That will take a while.

This one is sort of like a caption contest. Just copy the graphic down, add your own words, then re-post it here.

I've been making Photoshop files isolating some of the characters from the doctor book and of course, the bond girls, and a sad full-version TOBOR. I'll post these on my web site for others to use. But do you want them as Photoshop files or transparent gifs? Gifs are smaller, but have a lower quality level.

The nice thing about Photoshop files is you can save the final comic in jpg format and not get the bond girls all grainy like I did in the TOBOR prison strips.

And if anyone else wants to submit characters and backgrounds, or even raw images in zip format, let me know and we'll get them on the site too.

Supposedly, parody is protected. But in practice, outfits like D**ney and the s*ndic*tes have been able to sue satirists into a corner. So I don't know.

This kid's book is probably old enough that no one's looking out for it. Now if we posted a bunch of comics featuring a certain trademarked rodent, that'd be a different story.

I don't have the books here. They're latest C date is 1958, as I recall. But in any event, I believe we are protected under parody laws.

All parody aside, I'll still probably rent the vid.

"Parody laws?" You mean like the "Persons Distinctly Smelling of Fish Act?"

No, just a lame joke.

You know, parody laws. Joke statutes. Haha.

Okay buddy. Assume the position. Hands on the car. I'm throwin' the book at you this time!

Toss him in the cell with TOBOR, maybe he can draw Butterboobs away.

The real question is, why don't more fluffy animals wear them? And you're forshadowing the fluffy series I was dreaming up! Will I have to be less predictable? That could take hours!

I've been wondering if anyone would be interested in turning the Fluffy Bear drama into a group effort. I posted the end (death by fire) and the beginning (happy days with Santa) here. I could start another thread and invite people to create there own strips that take us the steps in between. Depending on how many people were interested we could have one or two turns per person.

At any rate, I've posted the transparent gifs for Fluffy and co on my site (listed below). Let me know if I should start a Fluffy Saga thread.

THATS it! I need a new place to store files. As of this writing I'm getting the red X job from freeservers.com. Given the business I'm throwing there way, I expect better service.

Okay - no takers? Then, Fluffy Bear must die.
