Alright guys. I'm not going to pretend I know what those folk have done in the forums, but I'll say at least pornography I find to be very funny comic-wise, and many of my friends enjoy his work too.
I think people should be less judgmental on such users - humor comes in different forms, and just because you don't like abstract humor doesn't mean no one does. I believe they have as much right to continue with their comics as kaufman or Scyess. If they're that bad in the forums, maybe you can ban them from the forums then - is that too illogical?
The banning of mommyanddaddy made me rather upset. Even worse was the banning of kon, whom I always considered to be the most intelligent of that bunch. Most probably didn't bother to check, but kon actually had some intelligent and witty comics - well, I guess no one will know now, since all of them were deleted.
I won't say that Brad bans such people to gain crowd favor, mostly because I haven't seen enough of the forums to justify that yet, but I do have my suspicions. Brad seems pretty cool and I was a bit perplexed by the two bannings. I also wonder why everyone loves fuck (not that I don't) and everyone hates these guys. I am reminded of middle school, when if the popular kid told a joke everyone would laugh, but the geek telling the same joke was scorned and attacked. To quote Thomas Edward Brown, "A rich man's joke is always funny." If you can't apply that quote to this situation you probably shouldn't be judging these people anyway.
For the record, I don't enjoy most of these people. Definitely fuck, pornography, mommyanddaddy, kon, and occasionally Schlong (who seems to be a nice guy to boot) however, I consider pretty funny and, as I said, so do my friends.
That's just my two cents on the issue. And if you don't like someone's comics...don't read 'em!
