Here is what shouldn't happen in a counseling situation. The door is closer to the patient and the counselor is TELLING the patient what they should do instead of guiding them.

Here is a more proper way to counsel someone. The door is behind the counselor and she is not telling the patient what he should do, instead she is guiding him to figure something out himself.
