Here we have Miller, a man wanting to find out what the capacity of short term memory is.
 | | |
| I wonder what the capacity of short term memory is! | |
 | | |
Miller had a theory, but now needed evidence to back up his theory.
 | | |
| My theory is that people can store 7 plus or minus 2 items into their short term memory at one time. | |
 | | |
 | | |
| Well lets put this theory to test. | |
 | | |
Jacob was able to provide evidence to support Miller's theory through using the digit span test, this proved that people were able to remember between 5 and 9 items at one time. 7 plus or minus 2.

| Please look at this list of numbers and write done how many you remember once I hide them. | |
