The cowboy (myself) appears to no longer hear the boy
 | | |
| Listen, I have to be going- | |
 | | |
 | | |
| As my company and our country transition more fully to the Common Core Standards I have to face the fact that I must reduce the amount of input I put into the dialogue of my classes. | |
 | | |
 | | |
| Well you're certainly not curtailing any input into our conversation right now... | |
 | | |
 | | |
| I must give up some of the control I’ve had to allow for my students to do more of the thinking and interacting with their texts and each other in order to create meaning of contexts and content. | |
 | | |
 | | |
| I'll give you interaction: Owls... if you hear me telepathically begin pecking this utter bore! | |
 | | |
 | | |
| In allowing for these changes I must also continue to grow my ability to adequately differentiate my lessons for all students and their unique needs, a constant/continual challenge for all educators. | |
