Did you know that in World War II aircrafts were able to be undetected by Radar?
How were military aircrafts able to be undetected by Radio Detection and Ranging?
The paint on the aircrafts absorbed energy from the radar waves and because many of the aircrafts edges were sharp, the radar rays could't hit perpendicular to the surface.
Didn't some of the radar rays make it back to the the radar antenna?
Actually no. Most of the rays don't make it back to the antenna and if they do, because the signals are so small the radar operators tend to overlook them and think the aircraft is a bird.
Wow! How cool!
