Jane was curious about Singapore'sources of water and decided to ask his father, John
 | | |
| Singapore has no natural resourses of its own. I am very worried about how Singapore gets its water resources. | |
 | | |
 | | |
| No worries. Singapore imports water in from other countries and even created NeWater, which uses reverse osmosis to get fresh water. We also get water from water catchments and from desalination. | |

She was also curious about what happened before we were more indepenedent on our water sources.
 | | |
| Wow! I wonder how much water Singapore had in 1965 and what is the difference in our consumption from last time and then. | |
 | | |
 | | |
| I am afraid I dont really know. I only know that what amount of water thay Singapore had in 1965 was insufficient and that our water consumption nowadays can be wasteful! We used to try to save water! | |

Finally, Jane wanted to know what troubles Singapore has faced in the past.
 | | |
| Now I know! Surely Singapore met with some troubles before they became this independent on their water sources. | |
 | | |
 | | |
| We had troubles. Trouble with our water supplier, Malaysia, which was our main importer of water.Malaysia knew that our only source of water was from them, they raised the price of water outrageously. | |
