Once he did get some followers they were persacuted and threatend with death. This is when they took There HIjra or migration to Medina from Mecca. This is the start of our Islamic calander

Muhammad did return to Mecca through force and by destroying all who opposed him. He destroyed all pagan shrine and brough us the religion we know today as Islam!!
