The Coastal Prairie Grassland used to be found along the Texas Coastline, from Corpus Christi to Louisiana, and 70 miles inland. Today only 1% of the grassland still remains.

During mating, the males will gather in short grasses so they can be seen by the female. The males will dance around making a very loud noise, while the females will stay quiet.
