A fight occurs between the Montagues and Capulets in the streets of Verona. The prince attempts to put an end to the fighting by threatening to take the life of those who threaten the peace.

Romeo proclaims his love to Juliet in Lord Capulet's orchard. The next morning he goes to Friar Lawrence and requests that he marry them, and the two are married at three o'clock that afternoon.

When the Capulets are abroad, a fight takes place between Benvolio, Mercutio, and Tybalt. In an attempt to save his friends, Romeo , who at first decided not to fight , kills Tybalt (Juliet's cousin).
