So, once I identify if its able to be multiplied, how do I multiply the numbers?
First, you take the numbers in the first row of matrix #1. From there, multiply each number by its corresponding number in the first column of matrix #2.
So, how do I know how many numbers are suppose to be in the new matrix?
Look at the dimensions for both matrices. if the first is 3x2 and the second is 2x3. Then, the new matrix, will have the new dimensions of 3x3.
Where did 3x3 come from?
3x3 is the two numbers on the outside of the original two matrices. I hope this helps Max!!
