Prometheus was very interested in Earth. He loved its people. He sat on Mt. Olympus and watched them. When winter came he saw that they were unhappy. They had no way to keep warm.

Jupiter wouldn't allow the people on earth to have fire. So Prometheus went to see Vulcan. He couldnt' give him fire but Vulcan turned his back and winked his eye. Prometheus took the fire.
