I think its official now. The website knows EXACTLY when Brad is going to be away for the weekend , and chooses that time to go down.

I think we need to introduce a new rule which says "Brad cannot have a life away from the internet".

(Glad to see its working again. Cheers Brad)

If I was Brad, I'd be checking his hosting firm's terms of service to see just how long they're allowed to be down for before he can claim compensation. The crowd we're with pay out after 55 minutes a month.

Binary Blocks has been moving offices and there have been some issues. They're giving all their clients a free month.

As for me, I helped a friend move, ate lots of seafood and went to see Spiderman this weekend. My laptop modem doesn't seem to work so I've given up even bringing it with me. I'm thinking about getting a pager or a bat-signal or something.

As a result of the SC downtime, I was forced to head into town on Saturday night and I subsequently got involved in a fight. I say "fight", although it was more a beating. When we ran for help (I ran into the side of a Police Van) the Police handcuffed US and threw us in the back of the van. What with the cup final and everything, Kilmarnock/Glasgow was really just a ticking timebomb, so the Police weren't taking any chances and basically just arrested everyone who looked to be causing trouble.

Thankfully they let us go after 10 minutes.

I will be filing a lawsuit with BinaryBlocks for loss of income, a rent boy doesn't make much money when he's got a black eye and a nose that's bigger than his hand.

Although, I'd settle for a pint.

Spiderman made $115 million this weekend. I think that makes it the highest opener ever (though ill happily be corrected on that if anyone knows otherwise).

I dug it too. The only thing that annoyed me was something I didn't think about until I was leaving the theater. Where the fuck do these super heroes get their costumes. They either make them themselves, or someone else does it. If somebody else does it, don't you think they'd be awful curious when they see someone wearing it splattered all over the front page?

The villians could just off the people that sewed them the costume, 'cause they got no problem with snuffing people. But what the hell do the good guys do?

Maybe there's a tailor shop that caters solely to super heroes, and they specialize in being ultra discreet.

Or maybe they just mail in their measurements and have the finished product shipped to them.

Anyway... I want to know where it came from.

PS - Sam Raimi's car rules.

In the comics, Peter Parker made his own costume, the X-men probably had some in-house tailor, not sure what Superman's excuse was.

I was wondering what Ross Andru would have thought of the Spider Man movie, and then I found out he's been dead for almost ten years.

Im in a bit of a dilema here.

Do i go for the gag about how "You (Kajun) deserved it cause every fagot who goes to Bennet's should get the shit kicked out of them by the neds who probably wait outside".

Or do i go for the gag about "10 minutes to give the Police officer a blow job".

It's tricky cause the first one will automatically be replied to with "How do you know there are neds waiting outside Bennet's to kick the shit out of the queers who go in there?".

To which i would reply "An educated guess cause i'm not gay (and therefore dont go to Bennet's) but knowing the type of people who live in Glasgow it's probably true".

So although in the long run i dont appear to come away looking to bad some of the heat is taken off Kajun.

For the second gag it just doesnt make sense as Kajun would probably love to go to jail for the night in anticipation of being buggered by many men wanting him to be his bitch so why would he try to get out of it bu merely giving a copper a bj?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Decisions, Decisions.

You keep going on about this "Bennet's", sadly, I'm not up on the Glasgow gay scene and have no idea where you're talking about. I was out in Kilmarnock, in a bar/club called Parkers if you really must know, and I didn't give the police officer a blow job, I went all the way!

I was recently horrified to find myself ranting about the ignorant people who spell "Spider-man" without a hyphen. Perhaps I ought to get out more. Still, though, it's annoying. Google actually asks if you mean "Spiderman" when you spell it correctly.

...and how precisely did she manage that? Supe's suit is made of some kind of super-fabric that stops it catching on fire from the huge forces of friction when he flies, and I read a comic once in which a bad guy (a robot version of Superboy, actually) grabbed his cape and dragged him with it, during which Supe mentioned his cape is almost infintely stretchable.

Not the kind of thing you could buy by the metre down at Spotlight, is it?

She made it from his Kryptonian swaddling blankets or some shit like that.

C'mon! It's a comic-book character, for cryin' out loud! Cut the authors some slack already.

At any rate, I would think the question of how coming from another planet makes one immune to gravity is a better question.

Spandex®
'Nuff said.

Truth is, I've seen his cape (and costume) ripped, shredded, torn, burned to a crisp by various evil forces... and each time he goes home, Ma seems to have a new costume for him. Clark added the current Black insignia on his chest -- in mourning for the Worlds at War thingy that happened a few months ago.

Uh, yeah.
I'm a geek.

That's been explained by the differing suns. Krypton's red sun made conditions "harsh" by human standards. Earth's yellow sun gives Superman his powers. He acts as a "living battery" for the sun's energies, which allow him to perform all kinds of amazing feats (often while on his amazing feets).

This was also why the seemingly impervious Superman was able to fall to Doomsday. His battery died, so he did too.

OK, so if Superman can fly, why does he feel the need to leap over a tall building in a single bound? Seems kinda pointless.
