here's the deal with Chasing Amy--yes, it doesnt end happily, but how many relationships do? few people end up with their first love for the rest of their lives. most people have several relationships...some ending terribly, some indifferently at best. Chasing Amy shows one of those. It's more true to life than any other romantic comedy i can think of.
I'm not talking about the end that depresses me, it's the whole movie. I've been through all that crap myself, and I don't like to be reminded of it. I'm not saying it's a bad movie for that reason, but it's not my favorite.

Mallrats is probably my favorite. Dogma and Chasing Amy tie for second, Clerks comes in 3rd, and Jay and Silent Bob is last. It was an alright movie, but I was a bit disappointed with it.
