And now let me put my 2 cents in. There's more wrong with the Howard Stern show than just Crazy Cabbie. Stern used to be good. Hell, he used to be the best! However, now he's a bit of a sell out (count how many commercials he does during his show) and he is the first to conform to the FCC's rules and be pissed if someone breaks them. He's also getting older and seems to have lost some of his edge and gotten a lot more cynical as well. Is he still funny? Yeah. Is he as good as he used to be? Hell no. I miss the Howard Stern who wasn't scared to piss off the FCC and who had more inspired skits then just the let's-bring-a-new-supermodel-in-every-day shit he does now. Yawn. He just doesn't make me laugh out loud like he used to.

Plus, a shark was definitely jumped when Jackie was replaced by Artie. F Artie!

Heh. That quote actually has nothing to do with the Stern everyone is talking about (except insofar as he sometimes uses it in the intro to his radio show). He's a calculatedly outrageous radio personality who has branched out into television and is obsessed with genitalia in a way that makes most of us look downright well-adjusted by comparison.

I was keeping quiet for a while because I thought it was just typos (which really should be corrected before posting. And Stern, or Howard Stern is a radio talkshow host who also has a TV show on E! He has produced a movie, as well. He is the self-proclaimed "King of all Media" (similar to Cindy Margolis' claim to be the "Most Downloaded Woman on the Internet", it's disputable). His talk show is trashy, vulgar, sexist, and very politically incorrect. In other words, it's theoretically one of the best entertainment shows out there.

Sadly, what I've heard of it lately has been boring as all hell. That's great Howard, you have two swedish bikini models going at it lesbo-style in your studio. I can't see them, so what good does that do me?

Though I strongly believe that the purpose of language is communication and NOT getting a gold star from the would-be grammatists of the world, I'd have to say that, personally, shorthand and typos usually do require an extra effort to read and understand, and sometimes I just can't be arsed. I'd guess other people are the same.

So if you want to increase the probability that what you're saying is getting read, it probably is a good idea to spellcheck and try to spell words out. Not because that's a universal rule, but because that's the community standard here.
